Spain and Italy to clash in Nations League semi-final
Two heavyweights of European football go head-to-head on Thursday evening
Spain and Italy will meet in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League on Thursday evening, with a place in the final at stake.
Both teams come into the match in good form, with Spain having won their last three matches and Italy having won their last four. Spain are the current holders of the Nations League title, having won the inaugural tournament in 2021. Italy, meanwhile, are the reigning European champions, having won Euro 2020 last summer.
The match is expected to be a close encounter, with both teams possessing a number of world-class players. Spain will be looking to the likes of Pedri, Gavi and Ferran Torres to provide the creative spark, while Italy will be hoping that the likes of Federico Chiesa, Lorenzo Insigne and Ciro Immobile can provide the goals.
The match will be played at the San Siro in Milan, and will kick off at 8pm BST.
